“This is a ‘Solomon’s Cage’, you can’t just improvise the summoning!” Carl reached through the cage’s silver bars and grabbed the paper from my hands. Once through the bars the paper flashed into flame and smoke.
“No, you can’t.” I chuckled.
The smoke lingering around Carl’s hands darted into his eyes and nostrils.
“W-What have you done?”
“A ‘Solomon’s Cage’ isn’t used for summoning. Didn’t your mother ever tell you not to trust a wizard?” The look on Carl’s face was priceless. “Solomon was a greedy king. He didn’t like to share. The cage is for keeping. Keeping forever.”
