    Questers
    By
    Jake Bible

The wizard stared at the runes, eyes narrowed, sweat dripping from his brow.

“Can you decipher it, old man?” Vorgoron asked.

“Give me time, give me time,” the wizard said, scratching his stubbled chin.

“Should you cast a spell?” Malkorn asked, twirling an arrow between his fingers.

“Hush. I have this, elf,” the wizard replied.

They stood there for a moment then the grand stone door creaked open.

“I thought I heard someone out here,” the troll said. He looked at the weapons. “Huh. Questers. I thought you were the pixies selling cookies. Oh, well, lets get on with this.”
