Reign of Four
Millennia ago, planet Helios held a grand technological civilization. But the Cataclysm tore the land apart, and the survivors were forced to flee to the Six Stations, the artificial planetoids that orbited Helios. It did not take long for their society to devolve into a virtual medieval world, with barely enough technology to survive the harshness of life in space.
Out of this culture arose a line of monarchs called the Reign of Four. Alexis Teirmont was the First. He was a visionary, a warrior and a tyrant who was not immune to egotism, cruelty, and revenge. He would change the very fabric of the System. His reign would be remembered throughout history for both the good–and the bad.
Alexis the Second was not his father’s son.
Instead of being a man of military might, he was a man from the wild lands of the Prime. Instead of being an accomplished warrior, he was an unapologetic hedonist, reveling in the finer tastes and pleasures of life. For many of the nobility, such a life would have been ideal, but for a Master of Station it was near suicide.
Reign of Four: III–
Alexis the Third, Mistress of Station Aelon and its Primes, was the first female monarch in all of System Helios’s history. She was a true Teirmont in temperament and passion, yet unique in ways no one expected. Despite the disdain, aggression, contempt and disgust of the male nobility for a female ruler, Alexis the Third proved to System Helios that gender was not what made a monarch.
Her rule changed System Helios forever.
Son of a legendary mother, Master of Station Aelon and its Prime, Alexis Teirmont the Fourth would rule by the blade–ready to destroy all that stood in the way of his claim to a second crown.
The first master to ever attempt ruling two stations and primes, Alexis would set into motion an avalanche of events. From the orbit of the stations around Helios, to the gas covered lands of the planet, He would leave left a bloody mark on history that will not soon be forgotten.
