• Good Evening,

Welcome to the first Drabble Party of 2012! This year is gonna be great! GREAT, I SAY!

I have quite a few things planned for 2012, but I’ll get into those at a later date down the line. There will be a Big Post!

So, since the year is already wasting away, let’s get right into the fiction.

    Enjoy!

Oh, and in the spirit of shameless self-promotion (which does have a spirit. I’ve seen it!) don’t forget to click on the book cover to your right! New story, yo!

    Cheers!

Disclaimer: Don’t mess with a lady and her beets.

  • Welcome back, y’all!

This is the second to the last episode! Crazy, huh?

There won’t be an episode next weekend since it is Christmas. Just won’t have time. There may be one New Year’s day, but that all depends on whether I have a mic. I have to send my mic in for service. Well, replacement actually.

In other news there will be a podcast of the third novel! David Sobkowiak has kindly offered to produce the podcast. That will be a HUGE help!

    Okay, enough chatter!

    Enjoy!

  • Welcome to another Sample Saturday!

This week we have the very talented Arlene Radasky.

    Some words from Arlene:

“I am Arlene Radasky, an author of a novel (working on the second) poetry and short stories. My website is http://www.radasky.com

After I finished my novel, The Fox, I had all the ideas and goals that authors had, to get my novel published. I went to a writer’s conference in 2008, shopped my book, and found out the publishing business was in an upheaval (ebooks just starting to get very popular) found out I probably would not be able to get an agent or publisher to even read my book, so I decided to put it out to the world on my own. I wanted it to be read.

I am not depending on writing for an income, I am retired therefore, I also made the decision to give it away. At the same conference, I attended a workshop on recording and gathered information on Podiobooks.com. I posted my book on several websites that download to all readers, the first being http://www.free-ebooks.net/ and eventually http://www.Smashwords.com  Through Smashwords it is also available in many other catalogs and FreeE-books took it around the world many times. I am ever grateful to both websites.

I recorded it and it is available at Podiobooks as a serialized podcast. And through Podiobooks, it is available for sale in Audiblebooks.com.

I also have the paperback of The Fox for sale on Amazon.

Some of my poetry and short stories have been picked up for anthologies.

To date, I have had (in all the countable sites) over 35,000 downloads and many positive emails and reviews.

My novels are about ancient history. To tell the stories of those who lived so long ago, is a challenge that I love.”

    Enjoy the sample!

In the morning (Excerpt form The Fox) – Arlene Radasky

“In an archaeological site on a hill in the Highlands of Scotland, two lovers will rediscover one another, and how it is one man will have sacrificed his life to save all he ever believed in—and all he ever loved.

A Caledonian tribe soon to be annihilated by the Romans strikes a deal with the gods in order to survive. Two thousand years later, archaeologists Aine MacRae and Marc Hunt are on their trail. Guided by the spirit of a young Caledonian woman favored by the Goddess Morrigna to merge minds, Aine uncovers more than ancient buried artifacts; she will rediscover a timeless love that has withstood the fen of time.”

And don’t forget that if you are a writer and want to get involved with Sample Saturday just check out the original post HERE.

  • Welcome back to the Party beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyotches!

You like how I said that? You have to say it out loud to really get the feel. Come on do it now. I’ll wait.

    *whistle-whistle-tap-tap-tap-whistle-whistle*

    Fun, right? RIGHT?

    That’s what I thought.

So, I’m guessing you are here for a drabble. Well, I shan’t disappoint! Tonight’s drabble was crowd sourced. I asked for topics, character names, themes, etc on Twitter. You responded! And I put them together in one drabble! Genius!

    Enjoy!

Disclaimer: This drabble contains holiday calories.

  • Hey, would ya look at that! It’s a new episode of The Americans! No Way!

Sorry about last week, couldn’t be helped. There shouldn’t be another interruption. Well, except for maybe Christmas. Maybe. We’ll see. If I can pull it together for that weekend then I will.

Anyhoo, I’ll get out of the way and let you listen to the episode.

Right after I say one more thing! See that link to the right? The one for Stark? Yeah, click on that. Watch the video. Then back the project, if you are so inclined. Rewards start at $5. And you know what’s cool? The project is funded, so every dollar from here on goes towards funding the second and third novellas! If you do support this then you are helping to reach the goal of everyone getting double or triple rewards. Trust me, these novellas will be worth it.

And now, on with the show!
