• And another week is down! Time to bring up the Party!

Welcome to another fun filled drabble night, ya’ll.

It looks like we have been having one participant a week in the Drabble Party. Come on, people! Tell your friends! Tell your family! Tell Crazy Charlie down the street (if you can get him to put the nail gun down)! TELL THE WORLD!

Why? Because it’s fun, yo. It. Is Fun. FUN!

Last week’s response was great. It kept the narrative going and also added a bit to it. Of course, the spirit of the Lovecraftian mythos is to add to it and make it your own. Gotta love H.P.! Thanks to Heyes for joining in!

Do you want to join in? Go ahead! Just add your 100 word drabble in the comments section below. It can add to the story, continue right where it left off, go on a tangent, just be “inspired” by, or whatever your muse brings to you. Just make it related to tonight’s drabble somehow. That’s all there is to it!

And speaking of tonight’s drabble, here ya go.

    Enjoy!

    Plan A

    Cheers!

  • Welcome back, ya’ll!

Glad you could make it for episode two of Metal and Ash. A little late this week, but such is the life of a busy writer.

Just a reminder to get your copy of Little Dead Man. If you dig the zombie element of the Apex Trilogy then you’ll love Little Dead Man. It may be YA, but it is great for all!

Oh, and see that Facebook Like button to the right? How’s about you give that a click! I’d appreciate it greatly. It’s the best way to keep up to date on what’s happening with Jake Bible Fiction!

Hope you enjoy this week’s episode!

  • Welcome back to the Party!

I was glad to see we had a guest join the Party last week. Very nice. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then please go back and read last week’s Drabble and the drabble in the comments.

So, like I promised, I would talk about the drabbles in the comments. The one drabble fit well with the story in the one I posted. It took up where mine left off and continued the narrative. If I were to criticize, and who the hell am I to do that, I would say that the “punchline” ending may have been a bit much. But that’s just me. After having written hundreds and hundreds of drabbles over the years I have shied away from the punchline. Well, most of the time. We all know a good punchline is hard to resist. But overall an excellent addition!

Thanks to brighteyeddyer for joining in the Party! You all should get in on this too! have an extra 100 words just hanging out? Throw them up here! But, remember that the 100 words should build on, or expand, or be related in some way to the drabble I post.

    And here that drabble be!

    Enjoy!

    Down Below

    Cheers!

Disclaimer: Oh, Ancient Ones, I pray that these hundred words will appease your mighty wrath!

  • The first Party of 2013 and it will be a doozy!

I had mentioned before that starting in 2013 the Party was gonna change a bit. How? Well, it is now an open invite Party! What does that mean? It means you get to bring your own Drabbles to the party!

How will that work? I’ll still be posting my Drabble each week. have a read and then instead of a subject free for all, go ahead and add your own drabble in the comments section below that either builds on mine or is stays close to it.

Example: My drabble is about space aliens that find a football on their planet. You can keep going with the story or you can write a drabble about a different set of aliens that find a baseball. Or maybe humans that find some alien sports paraphernalia. Or a lonesome football that was left behind after interstellar settlers abandoned a planet. Get where I’m going with it?

    Excellent!

Each week I’ll pick the drabble that I think fits best and just grabs me. I’ll talk about it during the following week’s Party. Right now it isn’t a contest, but in the future it could be. I’ll see what prizes I can wrangle up!

So get to counting those words, folks! Have fun!

    Enjoy!

    Tonight, For Once

    Cheers!

Disclaimer: There is no right or wrong way to write a drabble. Just wrong word counts.
