• Here we are again! Another Friday, another Drabble, another Party!

Tonight’s drabble is inspired by my new direction in writing. Gotta get in on that cash machine, right? Right?

I kid! …or do I? Oh, I don’t know. It’s Friday so I’m going to have another beer.

    Enjoy!

    50 Shades Of Science

    Cheers!

Disclaimer: Are you feelin’ randy, baby? Are you? Groovy!

  • Kickstarter projects may not always get funded, but Drabbles always get written! So welcome to the Party!

Not sure where this drabble came from, but here it is.

    Enjoy!

    Shrieks Of Pain

    Cheers!

Disclaimer: What? I didn’t say anything.

  • It is Friday. And there be a Drabble Party going down!

But first, let’s talk about Rash. Not sure what that is? Check this out Rash- An Illustrated Novella

As you can see it’s not really close to hitting its goal. Surprising since the first story, Stark, nailed its goal in a week and a half. But them’s the breaks. So if you have a five spot to spare, please head over and help back the campaign. If it doesn’t hit its funding goal then none of the money is kept. That means the project goes on the backburner for a while.

Okay, so enough of Rash. How about a drabble?

    Enjoy!

    Deliver

    Cheers!

Disclaimer: Are you part of the problem or part of the solution? Just askin’.

  • Hey, Y’all!

Here is my latest podcast project, Stark. Stark is actually the audio version of my Kickstarter backed Stark- An Illustrated Novella. Stark is for ereaders only and takes advantage of the new tech like the Kindle Fire, iPad and Nook Color that can show full color illustrations within ebooks. The project was fully funded and released earlier in the year.

But, now it is time for the sequel to Stark, Rash. I have a Kickstarter campaign up here Rash- An Illustrated Novella Go check it out and throw a couple dollars its way. There are some cool rewards. I know you may be thinking that why should you back it if it will be released as a free podcast at some point? Well, that’s because it won’t. If this project doesn’t get backed then it will die on the vine. Unfortunately, I do not have time/resources to chase the dead (I will chase and kill the undead, but that’s a different story). Back Rash so that this series can continue and not just be a pet project sitting on my hard drive.

We have until August 2nd, people! Back Rash and get your reward!

Thank you and I hope you enjoy Stark.

    Cheers!

    -Jake

    Stark- The Podcast

  • No Friday Night Drabble Party? Not tonight!

It’s Friday the 13th so I’m going to totally mess with your schedule! MESS WITH IT!

Instead of the Party I want to talk about Rash. No, not a rash, but Rash- An Illustrated Novella. This is my latest Kickstarter campaign and it can be found here Rash- An Illustrated Novella

This is the sequel to Stark- An Illustrated Novella (available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble). The Stark campaign was a great success and I am hoping Rash will be too.

And that’s where I need your help. Since Rash is a Kickstarter campaign it has to be fully funded or all funds are lost. One dollar short and it’s game over. I really love this series (there will be a third) and would hate for it to die. And that’s a simple fact: if it doesn’t get funded then it doesn’t get printed. Not being a full time writer, my funds are extremely limited when it comes to publishing. Funds I do have set aside for editing, cover, etc will be going to Metal and Ash, the third book in the Apex Trilogy. That is numero uno on the publishing list.

Why should you back Rash? (I said back rash) What I am trying to create here is more than just an illustrated novella. I am really hoping this style takes off so more writers and artists can work together. An illustrated novella gives the writer a chance to use their full prose and the artist a chance to illustrate a story without having to create an entire graphic novel or comic book. If I can make this series a success then it benefits all! (I’m a giver that way)

So do your part to help shape the future of literature and art. Go back Rash- An Illustrated Novella right now. For just $5 you can feed a hungry writer and starving artist.

    Cheers!
