• Welcome back, y’all!

This week’s episode is short. No worries, though, because next week’s will make up for it. I promise.

You will also notice that my intro is a bit long. Yeah, I had a couple things to say. One thing was to make sure you all know about Sample Saturday. Each Saturday I will feature a different writer and a sample of their work. Be sure to check it out, folks. Show some love to the other crazy writers out there! You know, before they go too crazy. Let’s avoid that insanity. It does no one any good. 😉

And if you are a writer and want to get involved then click HERE!

That’s about it, so let’s get on with the show!

  • Welcome to the second installment of Sample Saturday!

Last week went really well, but make sure you spread the word so as many folks as possible come check out the free samples of some fine, fine fiction.

And don’t forget that if you are a writer and want to get involved with Sample Saturday just check out the original post HERE.

So, with that said let’s get right to this week’s writer: JRD Skinner!

J.R.D. Skinner is a writer, podcaster, and ne’er-do-well, from Toronto, Ontario. For unfathomable reasons he releases fiction thrice weekly at FlashPulp.com, and spends an inordinate amount of time telling children things they shouldn’t know.

For the original posting of the story and for more info on Flash Pulp go HERE.

The Last Pilgrimage – JRD Skinner

“Flash Pulp is an experiment in podcasting fresh pulp stories in the modern age – three to ten minutes of fiction brought to you Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.”

  • So, I’m plotzing along, working, writing, researching, sending emails, plotting the destruction of all that is good in the world so I can replace it with All That Is Neil Diamond which would turn the good into WOWZA AWESOME, when I realize I haven’t written my Friday Night Drabble Party post! Holy moon pies filled with not-so-fresh-marshmallow-peep droppings!

Lucky for everyone I am an uber genius and my uber brain is uber efficient and uber uber uber. Uber uber uber uber uber! Uber, uber uber.

    *SLAP*

Thanks. My uber genius took over. It’s all about the uber with that guy.

But you aren’t here to get uber smeared all over you, you want some drabbly goodness!

    Enjoy!

  • Hey All! Welcome to the first installment of Sample Saturday!

What’s Sample Saturday? It’s a chance for writers to share a wee bit of their work. And a chance for you, dear reader, to get a taste of some writers that you normally may not stumble across. And there’s a lot of tasty writers out there!

This will be a weekly blog post so make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss a single word!

And if you’re a writer then please see this post HERE for info on how to get involved.

And now I present the first writer of Sample Saturday: Scott Roche!

Scott Roche is a writer, husband, father of three, and a complete maniac. This is the only possible explanation for why he is also a contributing editor for Flying Island Press for both their Flagship and Abattoir imprints and produces podcast content for them. As if that weren’t enough he also co-runs the Seekrit Projekt podcast
(http://www.theseekritprojekt.com/) There is not enough time or caffeine in all the world for him to do what he wants, but he’ll die trying. You can find information about all of his projects by going to http://www.scottroche.com

    Let Go – Scott Roche

“Faced with the atrocities he’s committed to keep his wife and son safe
and provided for, Chris is forced into a bitter decision. He must find
a way to let go of his family and move on. But in a world gone to
hell, is there any other choice?”
